What is chroma (color intensity)?
During my consultations and on social media, you often hear me talking about value and chroma. Two very important factors, but terms that are not really familiar to most people. Chroma refers to the intensity of the hue (color). A bright color, such as neon, has the highest chroma. A pastel shade has low chroma.
How and how strongly you react to chroma varies from person to person. Some people are sensitive to chroma, while others require strong chroma. High chroma contains strong pigment and less additives. Low chroma has more black, white, or gray incorporated into it.
