In color analysis, there are three different methods: Western, Japanese, and Korean. I am trained in all three.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Western color analysis<\/font><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Western color analysis is the oldest, developed in California in the 1980s. Originally, color analysis recognized only the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. To determine which season you are, various factors are considered (eyes, hair, undertone). At the time color analysis was developed, different population groups were not taken into account. Western color analysis still uses the foundations from that time today, but the sub-seasons developed in Japan have been added.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Japanese color analysis<\/font><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Western color analysis did not work in Asia because people there generally have dark hair and dark eyes. The difference in undertone is also less pronounced than in the West. In Japan, they further developed Western analysis to make it applicable to them as well. At the Japan Color Research Institute, they developed the sub-seasons (the PCCS system). They discovered that people respond more to value and chroma than, sometimes, to hues. The focus is more on how your skin reacts, regardless of your appearance, to determine what makes you shine the most. Japan has a more pronounced fashion culture (Harajuku), which is also the reason why the sub-seasons are somewhat brighter in terms of color.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Korean color analysis<\/font><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Korea has taken Japanese color analysis further, which is why the Korean method is the newest and the only one that uses technology (such as a colorimeter). Furthermore, only the Korean method examines all elements (fashion, makeup, hair, and jewelry) separately. Therefore, it is possible that, for example, your makeup and fashion season differ. The Korean and Japanese systems are very similar; the principles are the same: they look at how you react to colors, regardless of your appearance.<\/p>

The difference is that in Korea, people dress a bit more modestly. The bright colors of Japan work less for everyday wear in Korea. As a result, you see slightly softer shades, and the value and chroma are simplified so that they are easier to apply. Also, in Korea, they focus more on neutral and achromatic colors and all alternative options to always look their best. In Korea, they are slightly more focused on beauty; the most important thing there is that you can look your best without makeup. Makeup should be the bonus or finishing touch.
